CM Devendra Fadnavis to meet farmer’s delegation

Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, said today he will discuss the farmer’s grievances with a group of ministers and the farmer’s representatives.

This meeting of high-level is scheduled at 1 PM and the farmers will put their demands forward. It is believed a positive decision will be taken. Of course, a timeline will be decided on the farmers put forth demand. The farmers representative are invited, confirmed CM Fadnavis.

Over 30,000 farmers reached at dawn today at Mumbai to gherao the Maharashtra Assembly. The farmers planned overnight march to reach early today the Azad Maidan of Mumbai and to avoid causing inconvenience to children attending exam today.

Farmers have ample support from the Mumbaikars and the farmers decided to march overnight so that there is no inconvenience to the Mumbaikars. The farmers are agitated by the loans and its pressure that they are seeking waiving of loans.

“We do not want SSC students to face any trouble. But we will reach Azad Maidan. Therefore, we started walking past midnight,” Ashok Dhawale, AIKS President #KisanLongMarch – The All India Kisan Sabha last night tweeted.

The farmers plan today to gherao the Maharashtra Assembly. They stand united under the banner of All India Kisan Sabha, thereby seeking complete loans and power dues waiver for farmers. The farmers demand the implementation of MS Swaminathan Committee that guaranteed a (MSP) Minimum Support Price to the farmers.

The farmers have decided today to walk 180 km from Nashik to Mumbai to put forward their demands.
