Amazon has introduced a more intelligent feature in Alexa. There have been many times when Alexa was not able to understand your queries and doesn’t carry out the task to perfection. If you were frustrated with her, she would not know it. But, now with more advanced technology updates, she will be able to catch your voice tone and inflection to understand that you’re frustrated with her.
In a blog where Amazon explained this new deep technology feature in Alexa, Amazon says, “When Alexa recognises that a user is frustrated with her, she would now try to adjust herself – just like humans – such that she meets the user’s demands. With this experience, Alexa understands the tone and inflection of the customer – and can acknowledge the frustration like a person would,”
This feature is going to be updated in Alexa devices soon in the United States. Frustrated Alexa users in India need to wait longer (we don’t know how long) to get Alexa with these updated features. So, going forward, why worry if humans you interact with don’t get your irritation and frustration? Your favourite AI companions will soon be able to!
