IRCTC introduce IRCTC wallet as new booking method

The e-ticketing arm of the Indian Railways is working hard to devise new ways to ease the ticketing process for the passengers. Now, the passengers can book e-ticket by installing the IRCTC rail connect app and by using its inbuilt IRCTC e-wallet.

IRCTC tweeted that the IRCTC e-wallet is like the other wallets like Mobikwik or Paytm and you can recharge the wallet by transferring funds from your bank accounts.

A new passenger needs to create an IRCTC account on its website and a user has the facility to keep 6 banks as their preference banks for booking. IRCTC e-wallet is available as one of the many payment options available on its official website.

IRCTC has also tied up with Ola and one can book cabs as well from the IRCTC app.

The passengers can also order food online through the IRCTC Food on Track App. Your favourite food is a just a click away, no matter where you travel, IRCTC will deliver the food right at your seat. The food can be booked using the PNR number of the ticket. One can pay for the food online and can provide cash on delivery as well. Moreover, the Railways has also started the no bill, free food policy under which if the vendor does not provide the passenger with the bill, the passenger can take the food for free.

IRCTC has also introduced new Tatkal rules from April 5.
