Well, the Swachh Bharat Survey brings a lot of glory to the whole team when the results pertaining to the cleanest cities in India came into pictures. Of all the cities in the country, three cities were ranked the cleanest in the country and these are Indore, Bhopal and Chandigarh.
Indore is ranked at the first position for maintaining cleanliness throughout. The Swachh Survekshan 2018, that is the first pan India exercise to assess the cleanliness of the cities if the country, surveyed 4,203 cities between January 4 to March 10, 2018. Indore is ranked at the top, Bhopal at the second position and Chandigarh being the third clean city of the country.
There has been ranking improvements in other cities as well like Ghaziabad who was at 351st rank in 2017 and it moved itself to 36th rank this year.
Hyderabad is ranked as India’s best capital city for solid waste management in the survey and the cleanest town in the south is Siddipet, which is the Assembly Constituency of TS irrigation minister T. Harish Rao.
On the outskirts of city lies a town called Boduppal that is ranked as the best town in the south with the highest percentage of positive citizen feedback on civic amenities. Peerzadiguda was ranked as the best under the innovative practices category.
Altogether, the state of Telangana bagged four ranks in the survey that assessed around 4,023 cities in the country.
