For the first time in the history of the railway ministry, Piyush Goyal has introduced a system which is going to bring back the lost faith on the railway kitchen. Initially there was a lot of complaints regarding the hygiene aspects of the IRCTC kitchens and people have expressed their discomfort for a lot of times. The Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani inaugurated the live streaming feature of IRCTC’s base kitchens today.
Passengers have presented cases with solid proof where the hygiene quality of the kitchen has become substandard. This entire matter was under a lot of pressure after which a new system has been introduced where live streaming of kitchen operations will allow passengers to check how food is being prepared and packaged. The IRCTC Kitchen live streaming of several base kitchens across the country has been made possible with the use of artificial intelligence.
The live streaming of IRCTC food preparation is available as a link on the IRCTC website under the gallery section which will now be available. According to the heads at the IRCTC, the initiative is going to go a long way and will increase the transparency of the entire system. IRCTC has recently installed high-definition CCTV cameras in its kitchens and started monitoring the operations through them. The Chairman Lohani has proudly highlighted that the IRCTC kitchen have a unique food testing lab which is not present in the aviation sector as well.
